The Dalhart Rotary Club honored Dalhart Intermediate School (DIS) at their monthly meeting on Thursday, October 16, recognizing Raelyn Benavidez, a 5th-grade student, as Student of the Month, and Ms. Gloria Gonzalez, the bilingual 3rd-grade teacher, as Teacher of the Month. R
Raelyn brightly says, "My favorite thing about DIS is hanging out with my friends. When I grow up, I want to be a veterinarian, because I love animals." What advice would you give to your fellow students? "Be good and good comes back."
Ms. Gonzalez remarks, "I have been with the district for about seven years in various roles. One thing that has always remained true is my love for education. I am blessed that while I am teaching my students, I also get to pursue a path of learning myself. This helps me better serve my students." Gonzalez remarks on her tenure.
