Health is a priority at Dalhart ISD. Through, preventative care, nursing, nutrition, health education and awareness we develop happy and healthy students, teachers and staff. 

Dalhart ISD nurses strive to strengthen and facilitate the educational process by improving, protecting and monitoring the health status of students and assisting in the removal or modification of health-related barriers in the learning process.

Texas State law requires immunizations for all students. Nurses review records and work with parents to insure compliance with current state laws. Vision, hearing and spinal screenings for certain grade levels are also required by state law and appropriate referrals for possible abnormalities in these areas are made based on responses of the students during screenings.
