The Dalhart Intermediate School music class received the Dalhart Education Foundation Above and Beyond Grant earlier this year. The $1,760.38 award funded the Ukuleles in the Classroom project, which impacts more than 350 students. It included the purchase of 40 Ukuleles, seven tuners, instruction books, and extra strings.
All the students at DIS look forward to Ukulele Day and enjoy learning new songs to play and sing with the ukulele.
