Students Half Day October 11, 2023
Coach Vogel requested that we consider having a half day for students on Wednesday October 11, 2023, so that she could gather enough workers to host the District Cross Country Meet at the golf course. Obviously it will take a large number of volunteers to run the meet, and we simply can not find enough substitutes to cover classes. We have plenty of time built into our school calendar, so this instructional time will not have to be made up. I did seek input from the building principals and our board before we made a final decision.
Students will go to school on Wednesday until 12:30 at which time the buses will run. Staff members will take lunch from 12:30 to 1:00 and we will have a classroom work day until 3:30. Coach Vogel will have a sign in sheet at the Cross Country meet for those interested in volunteering to assist with the Meet. If you chose to work the Cross Country Meet please let your building principal know you are doing so.
