Mrs Ritchey's 2nd gd class worked hard on the Habitat today. They dug holes, planted trees and fed the birds! We appreciate them and are so proud of them for everything they've learned about caring for our outdoors.










DHS students brought their animals to DES today to share with our students as part of a project they were completing for Frank Phillips College. Our 2nd graders had so much fun learning about the animals.



DES 1st grade Farmer's Market was a huge success! Students, teachers and parents made and sold craft items and baked goods and raised over $2000 to help pay for field trips and supplies. We appreciate all of the support our students received!!






Attention DISD Parents,
This is in response to the notice that Dalhart ISD received last week from the Dalhart Hartley Counties Hospital District with the possible Clinical Diagnosis of a positive measles test result.
The DHCHD notified Dalhart ISD this morning Monday March 3, 2025 that the lab reports showed this specific case to be negative. Therefore, there have been no known cases of Measles with in Dalhart ISD.

A huge thank you goes out to our DES PTO for providing cupcakes for every student and staff member in honor of Read Across America week! We are blessed to have such thoughtful parents!! We have fun learning activities planned each day this week to encourage our students to become lifelong readers!!

Dalhart ISD will have an early release on Thursday, March 6, for the Dalhart track meet. Classes will release at 12:00 and buses will run at 12:30. Lunch will be served on all campuses.
Due to continued hazardous road conditions due to ice DISD is canceling school for the day.
Due to icy road conditions Dalhart ISD will delay school 2 hours. Buses will run 2 hours late. School will start at 10:00.
Mrs. Roth's class received a special gift today from First Sergeant Brian Knutson in Saudi Arabia! Before Christmas our students sent cards to soldiers abroad to spread some cheer. In return, they received patches and our school got a new American flag! We've proudly displayed it in our front foyer to be admired. A big thanks to MSgt. Brian and to our troops for their service and sacrifices.


Spring and Group Picture Day is coming up!


Dalhart ISD will start at 10:00AM tomorrow Tuesday January 21st and buses will run on pavement only due to visibility and road conditions.

Attached are the dismissal times for next Friday, the 20th. Please plan ahead so your students are picked up in time. Thank you!

DISD will have an early release at 1:00 p.m. in order to travel to our Area Play-Off Game vs. Jim Ned at Lubbock Cooper High School Friday, November 22, 2024.
Buses will run at 1:00 p.m., all campuses will serve lunch before we release.
