The spirit of the Holiday season can be felt by all at DES! On Tuesday, DES team members participated in our annual ugly sweater contest. Mrs. Mari Gonzalez, our Music teacher, won first place. Congratulations Mrs. Mari!!!
DES would like to send out a special thank you to local law enforcement and community members that provided Blue Santa gifts for our students. We are blessed to call Dalhart home! Merry Christmas!!
Dalhart Elementary dismissal times for Friday!
The DES 2nd graders were invited to DHS this morning to judge the high school students' hall decorations. Our 2nd graders were treated to a Holiday wonderland that included the conductor from the Polar Express, a visit from a very nice Christmas Grinch, hot chocolate and candy canes. The students and staff of DHS were so welcoming to the 2nd graders. We had a wonderful time!
DES 1st graders visited the Dalhart Fire Department today. After their program they rode on the firetruck with Santa. Our students had a wonderful experience. We appreciate the time and efforts of our Dalhart firefighters!
DES 1st graders in Mrs. Roth's class celebrated Mo Willems day on Friday. Mr. Willems is an American writer who authored the Elephant and Piggie series.
Everything will be greatly appreciated!

Dalhart Elementary extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to our school community! We're incredibly proud of our readers and grateful for your support, which made our fundraiser a success. Our students had a wonderful time reading. We can't wait to host another Read-A-Thon next year!

DES Head Start students learned about and celebrated Veteran's Day on Friday.
Due to the start time of 6:00PM in Vernon for the Wolves playoff football game vs. Paradise next Friday on November 17th, we will have an early release at 12:30PM.

Classes at the Intermediate School will continue as usual today.
