Dalhart ISD will have an early release on Friday, October 10th. DES dismissal times: HeadStart, PreK and Kinder - 12:10 pm 1st gd - 12:20 pm 2nd gd - 12:30 pm Buses leave around 1 pm

DES Habitat Committee will be hosting this festival. Please come celebrate with us. We will have free food and activities.

The DES Scholastic Book Fair is coming!! October 14 - 17. Family night will be Tuesday, October 14 from 5 to 6:30 during our DES Literacy night.

DES parents and family members - We have been practicing our emergency drills this semester. Your students have done an amazing job during every drill. We are so proud of them!

Homecoming Dress Up Days

Our school policy states that all visitors, community members. and parents must check in at the front counter with your photo id. This is for the safety of the children and staff. If no one is at the front please be patient. Nuestra política escolar establece que todos los visitantes, tanto de la comunidad como los padres, deben registrarse en el mostrador principal con una identificación con foto. Esto es por la seguridad de los niños y del personal. Si no hay nadie en el mostrador, por favor tenga paciencia.

Safety first, smiles second! Our drop-off and pickup teachers are ready to help your little students in and out of the cars with expert care. Keep those lanes moving smoothly by staying in your vehicle- think of it as our very own drive-through service, but instead of Happy Meals, we're delivering happy kids! Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe and efficient process that works like a well-oiled machine. Together, we're making morning drop-offs and afternoon pickups a breeze!

DES parents - the new lanes on the East side of the building will be open Wednesday morning for drop off. Please refer to the attached map. DES staff will help with directing traffic flow each morning. You may still drop off on the North side of the school or you may walk your children across the street in front of the school. The front driveway is for buses and special situations only from 7:30 to 8 am. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we begin a new school year!
