Congratulations Yiovani !!!
We have a first for the program!!!!!!!!
Yiovani Orrantia completed his AWS D1.1 1G(flat) open root certification!
This is a very hard test and very hard on the nerves. The test for this is a bend test where we try to break the weld on both sides. Yiovani’s did this on his first try! This man is one awesome welder!

This week we are recognizing teachers from our Math Department ... Mrs. Robbins, Mrs. Carson, Coach Lopez, Coach Trusler, and Coach Peña. You can see all of the High School Math teachers, along with some of our students, highlighted in our weekly newsletter at https://www.smore.com/1sh0x
First up this morning is Mrs. April Carson ...
Mrs. Carson is in her 15th year at Dalhart. She has been a teacher here for 11 years, but prior to that she subbed for 4 years. Before coming to Dalhart, Mrs. Carson taught Geometry and Algebra in Dumas, was an Instructional Math Coach for Algebra 1 in North Kansas City, and also worked outside of teaching for 8+ years for Educational Assessment. Mrs. Carson currently teaches Geometry.
Her favorite motivational question is ... What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?
