The Junior Class Student Council Representatives (not all pictured) had a snack cart for our teachers today. They did an amazing job!

A concerning TikTok trend is circulating among students at Dalhart ISD, encouraging them to insert pencil lead, foil, or other conductive materials into their school-issued Chromebook USB ports to make the device smoke or spark. While some users see it as a prank or viral challenge, this is both dangerous and illegal.
Tampering with electronic devices in this way poses serious fire and electrical hazards. It can cause permanent damage to the Chromebook, lead to potential injury, and may include school disciplinary action or even criminal charges for property destruction. The lithium ion batteries, when short-circuited, can overheat, swell, catch fire, or even explode, posing a serious threat to the student and others nearby
Educators and parents are urged to talk with students about the consequences of participating in such trends. School issued technology is not only a valuable learning tool but also school property therefore, intentionally damaging or destroying it is not a joke, it's destruction of school property.

We're celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week in style! Yesterday, our staff enjoyed a traveling snack and drink cart to give them a well-deserved afternoon pick-me-up. This morning, we kicked things off with a delicious breakfast for all our amazing teachers and staff.
The library joined the fun by organizing a creative duck hunt with fun prizes and treating everyone to a popcorn and tea bar. It's just a small way to say thank you to the incredible educators who make DHS such a special place every day!

Come rain or shine, Student Council is ready to help! They helped the amazing ladies at Grace Lutheran Church unload, arrange, and count all the geraniums. They love helping every year!

Thank you to the Freshman Class Student Council Representatives for treating our teachers with coffee (iced/hot), muffins, and donuts. Thank you, Quest Coffee, for the donation of the hot coffee.

Teacher Appreciation Week starts tomorrow. Let's have fun dressing up in honor of our amazing teachers.

Littlefield informed us that today's baseball game will be live streamed on West 11 sports on YouTube.
Let’s take a moment to recognize the everyday heroes who nourish our students and fuel their learning—our incredible school nutrition staff! Lunch Hero Day is a special opportunity to honor the dedication, hard work, and heart our cafeteria workers bring to the table every single day. Whether it’s preparing nutritious meals, creating a welcoming environment, or simply offering a smile, these unsung heroes play a vital role in our schools. These ladies don’t just work during the school year, but also during the summertime providing food for students and taking time to make sure everyone is fed whether they are in or out of school. Join us in celebrating Lunch Hero Day by showing your appreciation and letting them know just how much their efforts mean to our students and community!

There will be a Send off for the Boys Baseball team tomorrow at 11:30 at the High School! Let's go wolves!!
Happy Principal's Day to Mrs. Maddox!!!

Congratulations Danna Arriaga and Lyli Flores!! These girls have both signed a letter of intent to run for Amarillo College!!
