Mrs. Carson is in her 15th year at Dalhart. She has been a teacher here for 11 years, but prior to that she subbed for 4 years. Before coming to Dalhart, Mrs. Carson taught Geometry and Algebra in Dumas, was an Instructional Math Coach for Algebra 1 in North Kansas City, and also worked outside of teaching for 8+ years for Educational Assessment. Mrs. Carson currently teaches Geometry. Her favorite motivational question is ... What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?

Coach Lopez has been teaching and coaching for 5 years, and this is his third year at Dalhart High School, coming to us from Midland-Greenwood. He teaches Math Models, coaches football, and is our Head Basketball Coach. Coach Lopez's favorite quote is, "Having knowledge and wisdom is great, but being able to share that among the youth and community by building close relationships is undefeated.

The last 11 years have been here at Dalhart High School, and her first 2 were at Hereford High School. She teaches Algebra II, Intervention Algebra, and Pre-Calculus Dual Credit. Her Dual Credit students get credit for College Algebra and Trigonometry. Mrs. Robbins is also the Department Head for Math. Her favorite quote comes from Malala Yousafzi -- "One child, one teacher, one book, one pen and change the world."

Dalhart Interact Club will be hosting the annual Spooktacular Halloween Carnival at the Rita Blanca Coliseum Saturday, October 28th, 6:00-10:00. There will be food, a dunking booth, costume contest, music, games, and PRIZES!!! If you would like to set a booth, contact Mrs. Ellis, Mrs. Bowers, or Gracie Vermedahl.. There will be a blood drive on October 31st from 9:30 - 3:30. There is a sign up sheet in the front office. You must be at least 16 years of age with a signed permission slip from your parents. If you are 16 or 17 you must weigh at least 125 pounds. If you are 18 you must weigh at least 110 pounds. Make sure you eat a good meal and have plenty of fluids in your system before giving blood. Please please consider giving blood. You could save the lives of many people by just donating. Red Ribbon Week is October 23 - 26. Here are the dress up days: Tuesday, October 24- Be a hero say no to drugs- dress as your favorite superhero Wednesday, October 25- Wake up drug free- PJ day Thursday, October 26- "ABC your way out of Drugs"- Dress Like the First Letter of Your Name (for example- Emily- elephant) Friday, October 27- Don't lie be true to yourself- dress as your white lie ex: writing yep, i'll be ready by 8 on a white t-shirt Best Dressed for Lei Off Drugs Student: Reese Jenkins and Teacher: Mr. Hokanson The Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys divisions of DXC competed at the Regional XC meet on Monday, October 23 in Lubbock at Mae Simmons Park.
