The next competition for the Varsity Boys and Girls Teams will be on Monday, October 23rd at the Regional Meet held in Lubbock at Mae Simmons Park.
The girls' team will race at 12:00 pm and the boys' team at 12:30 pm. The placing at this meet will qualify teams and individuals for the state meet in Round Rock on Nov. 6.

Dalhart High School Student Council is the District 1 President school and today Jolie Bowers and Elexia Dominguez talked to Region 16 principals at the TASSP Region Meeting about the importance of Student Councils in our schools. They provided information on how to become active members and also talked about how Student Council has impacted their life.

Spooktacular Halloween Carnival at the Rita Blanca Coliseum Saturday, October 28th, 6:00-10:00. Dalhart Interact Club will be hosting the annual Spooktacular Halloween Carnival at the Rita Blanca Coliseum Saturday, October 28th, 6:00-10:00. There will be food, a dunking booth, costume contest, music, games, and PRIZES!!! If you would like to set a booth, contact Mrs. Ellis, Mrs. Bowers, or Gracie Vermedahl.

All of the juniors who are in dual credit the scholarship banquet will be at the FPC Dalhart Campus next Thursday the 12th at 6pm. Also, Mrs. Dovel sent them all a questionnaire to complete for the donors and slide show. They have only received a few of those back.

DES staff want to THANK our parents and students for coming to Literacy Night last night and stopping by our book fair. We had hundreds of parents and students and we made over $4500 in our Book Fair! We appreciate the support and enjoyed spending the evening with our students and parents!
