The spirit of the Holiday season can be felt by all at DES! On Tuesday, DES team members participated in our annual ugly sweater contest. Mrs. Mari Gonzalez, our Music teacher, won first place. Congratulations Mrs. Mari!!!
DES would like to send out a special thank you to local law enforcement and community members that provided Blue Santa gifts for our students. We are blessed to call Dalhart home! Merry Christmas!!
Semester exams at High School are on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Remember, we have early release in Friday.

Golden Wolves win in a battle with Farwell tonight, 41-36
The DES 2nd graders were invited to DHS this morning to judge the high school students' hall decorations. Our 2nd graders were treated to a Holiday wonderland that included the conductor from the Polar Express, a visit from a very nice Christmas Grinch, hot chocolate and candy canes. The students and staff of DHS were so welcoming to the 2nd graders. We had a wonderful time!
We had a blast having the 2nd graders come to the High School this morning and walk the halls!! Our big kids here at the high school had a blast decorating and having these kids come to see all their different hallway decorations.
We want to say a big "Thank You" to the Dalhart Police Department for their Blue Santa gifts

Welcome back Students
DES 1st graders visited the Dalhart Fire Department today. After their program they rode on the firetruck with Santa. Our students had a wonderful experience. We appreciate the time and efforts of our Dalhart firefighters!
All Boys and Girls basketball games for TODAY vs. Happy have been CANCELLED. Freshman and JV will play on Saturday at Caprock. 9th will begin at 10:00, JV to follow.

All the Golden Wolf Bands did a great job tonight at the Winter Concert. The 6th Grade band and the 7th/8th band are sounding great. We're looking forward to a bright future for the Golden Wolf Band. Our High School GWB also did a great job and sounded awesome!
