DES staff had a wonderful day of learning topped off by a bus trip around Dalhart with Mrs. Rahll. We learned about the different neighborhoods in our amazing community and heard one-of-a-kind stories about Mrs. Rahll's adventures in Dalhart. DES staff appreciate the Rahll's support and can't wait to see our students next week!

Last Thursday the DISD Admin team celebrated Mrs. Maddox for being selected the TREA Principal of the Year. We are so proud of her! Mrs. Maddox and our TREA Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Ellis, will be recognized at the end of the month at the TREA annual meeting.

Yesterday we celebrated Administrative Assistant's Day at DES. We are blessed with the best!! Mrs. Janie, Mrs. Lety and Ms. Arlen are a blessing to our campus and our community! We appreciate their hard work and dedication.
Mrs. Maston's Head Start class at DES has been learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly. They observed them in every stage from caterpillars to becoming butterflies. Today they let them go! It was a fun experience and the students enjoyed watching them turn into butterflies and watching them fly away!
Mrs. Mari, the DES Music Teacher, took advantage of the warm weather on Monday afternoon. Her 2nd gd Music class enjoyed learning outdoors.
DES Head Start students learned about Earth Day on Monday, April 22, 2024. They learned about ways to respect our environment.
