High School

Today our fellow student council officers Roxanna(president), Kaleb (secretary), Ryder( treasurer), and Xavier(historian), attended the Region 16 TASSP meeting to speak about the importance of TASC. These students did an outstanding job on sharing how every student council kid can make a difference. Way to represent Dalhart High School!

Our Homecoming Court looked amazing! Student Council would like to thank our Pack Moms, Cheerleaders, Floral Design class, class officers, our administrators, Dalhart Fire Department, and our Wolf Pack! The Homecoming Parade has been cancelled. The weather conditions are just too unstable and unpredictable to put our students and community at risk. We will work with the Pack Moms and look at other options in the weeks to come. We apologize for any inconveniences we have caused in the community. Student and community safety remain our top priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please join us for the Pep Rally at 8:00 PM in the High School gymnasium.

We are currently trying to make the best decision we can regarding Homecoming festivities this evening. After consulting with Mr. Byrd (Superintendent) and the Fire Chief and looking at several weather apps, we don't feel like we can make a final decision at this time. As of right now, this is what we are looking at:

*Parade decision will be made at 5:00 PM
*Pep Rally will go on as planned at 8:00 PM in the DHS Gymnasium
*Bonfire has been officially postponed to November 4, the week of Senior Night

We are actively monitoring the weather forecast throughout the day and will make a decision around 3:00 PM on whether or not to cancel the parade and/or bonfire . The Fire Chief will make the call on the bonfire. If the bonfire has to be cancelled, it will be rescheduled for Senior Night on November 6. The pep rally will be inside the High School Gymnasium and will start at 8:00 PM. We want all the Homecoming festivities to go on as scheduled, unfortunately we cannot control the weather.

Homecoming week! TWIN DAY! Show us your spirit!!
