Dalhart Junior High and High School Student Councils are hosting a friendly competition.
They are dividing our schools into teams to collect sippy cups, bottles and soda can tabs to be donated to CareNet and the Ronald McDonald House. Dalhart Elementary and Dalhart High School will compete against Dalhart Intermediate and Dalhart Junior High.
Competition will kick off tomorrow during the home basketball games and will conclude on Friday, January 30. If you don't make it to the basketball game then drop off items at your school of choice.

See you tomorrow!
See you tomorrow!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope you and your family are staying well and enjoying the school year so far. As we move through this time of year, we are seeing an expected increase in seasonal illnesses among students. To help keep everyone healthy and learning, we kindly ask for your support in monitoring your child’s symptoms before sending them to school.
Please keep your child home if they:
Have a fever of 100.0°F or higher (they should remain home until fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication).
Are vomiting or experiencing diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
Have a persistent cough, sore throat, or other symptoms that make it difficult to participate comfortably in class.
Have symptoms that could be contagious, such as a new rash, eye redness with discharge, or severe congestion.
Supporting Healthy Habits at School and Home
We are also encouraging students to practice good hand and respiratory hygiene to help limit the spread of germs. You can help reinforce these habits at home by reminding your child to:
Wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use hand sanitizer when soap and water aren’t available.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their elbow.
Avoid touching their face, especially their eyes, nose, and mouth.
If you’re ever unsure whether your child should attend school, feel free to reach out to the school—we’re here to help!
Thank you for working with us to keep our classrooms healthy and safe for all students. We appreciate your partnership and care during this busy season.
Warmly,
Dalhart Junior High School
